Here are some more logo experiments. Finding it hard to incorporate roman numerals without it looking a bit tacky? These are some of the better attempts. Still playing around though. If you guys have any direction, just drop me a text/comment on here.
Like all of these but I think I prefer the one with the border just because the text in that one is easier to read and understand what the name is. Like the other ones but I feel they're not as easy to understand for someone seeing it for the first time, which I feel is really important. Also, I really like the texture. But will the branding woman say that this isn't 'luxury' enough as well?!

PS, think if the 'A' has no middle strike then the 'I' shouldn't have strikes either - if one does then both should. But quite like them without. Hope that makes sence!!

Yeah, that makes complete sense. The only thing I don't get is the 'strike through the I'? There isn't a strike I don't think?
ReplyDeleteLike I said before, finding it hard to utilise texture and use the name, and include the roman numerals, it all just seems a lot. That's why I've tried to work the similarity between the IV and SIA.
Above are meerly experiments to see if you like the whole roman numeral thing. I too was worrying as to whether it looked high end enough.
The border can also be removed for a cleaner logo. Or I can play around with typefaces?

Hey. I like the one used on the website best. I don't feel we have to use roman numerals. It's enough to use the symbol to represent our philosophy. I like the rough font, I think it gives it a young fresh yet antique look. For our project and this collection I def think it is luxury enough. I agree that using roman numerals will be too much, like we are trying to fit too much in the logo. I like the first one best. :) Marie
